Competencies

Updated today

Competencies represent the skills, behaviors, and capabilities used to evaluate employee performance and career readiness within Aspire.

They form the foundation of career tracks and are used consistently across reviews and career development planning.

1.1 Default Competency Library

The system includes 164 pre-configured competencies by default.

These competencies are immediately available for use in:

  1. Career tracks

  2. Reviews (via Reviews v3)

  3. Career Development planning

The default library ensures broad coverage across common skills and roles.

1.2 Adding Custom Competencies

In addition to the default library, administrators can create custom competencies.

  • Admins can click Add New Competency to add a new competency.

  • Custom competencies coexist with default competencies and can be used in tracks.

  • In the list view you can edit or delete a competency which is not included in a track

  • You can view the tracks that have a specific competency linked to a job level, clicking on Tracks Containing.
