Manager Reward Allocations allow Rewards Administrators to assign a dedicated pool of reward points to eligible managers. These points are separate from a manager's personal reward balance and are intended solely for recognizing employees within their reporting hierarchy.
Managers can use their allocated points to:
Create employee challenges.
Gift reward points directly to employees.
The allocated points can only be distributed to employees and cannot be used by managers for themselves.
Configure Manager Reward Allocations
To allocate reward points to managers:
Navigate to Manage Rewards.
Click on the Manager Allocations section.
Click on Add Manager Allocation
Add or select the managers who should receive an allocation.
Configure the following for each manager:
Allocated Points
Allocation Frequency
Monthly
Quarterly
Annually
Save the configuration and click on Allocate Points
From above example,
The manager will automatically receive 15 reward points on 1st of every month in their manager reward bucket.
If the point was awarded on August 15th, manager will recieve the points on the same day, but will have time until the month end to utilize the points.
On September 1st, they will lose the remaining balance and credit a new set of points for the second month.
Manage Existing Allocations
Administrators can return to Manage Rewards > Reward Settings at any time to:
Add or remove eligible managers.
Update allocated point values.
Change allocation frequencies.
Review existing manager allocations.
Changes apply to future allocations based on the configured frequency.
How Manager Reward Allocations Work
Manager reward allocations are maintained in a separate reward bucket.
This bucket:
Is independent of the manager's personal reward balance.
Can only be used to reward employees.
Cannot be redeemed or used by the manager personally.
Whenever points are gifted or challenge rewards are issued, they are deducted only from the manager's allocation bucket.
Things to Know
Only Rewards Administrators can configure manager reward allocations.
Managers receive points based on the configured allocation frequency.
Allocations are maintained separately from personal reward balances.
Managers cannot use allocated points for themselves.
Manager reward allocations are available only for rewarding employees.
