How it works?
A certification type is a category of credential your organization tracks — for example "First Aid Certification" or "AWS Certified Developer." Certification types are created and maintained by administrators.
A certification is assigned to an individual employee, either by an administrator directly, or by the employee requesting it and an administrator approving it.
Some certification types are set up to expire and be renewed on a recurring basis (for example, every 12 months).
Every certification carries supporting proof — a document you or your administrator upload, such as a scanned certificate or license.
Where to find it?
Your own certifications live under My Asset Management.
If you're a people manager, your direct reports' certifications are visible (read-only) from the My Team area.
Administrators manage certifications organization-wide from the Asset Management admin area — creating certification types, assigning them, reviewing requests, and viewing history.
