Reports: Survey Responses as Data Elements

Survey question responses can now be included as a data element in the report builder. This is helpful to be able to see how certain employees respond against certain questions or even compare against review performance.

This enhancement allows organizations to analyze survey response data alongside other employee and platform metrics, enabling deeper reporting and comparison capabilities.

Report builders can now include survey question responses directly within generated reports.

This enables admins and report creators to:

  • Analyze employee responses

  • Track participation and sentiment

  • Compare responses across groups or time periods

  • Correlate survey data with other platform metrics

Supported Use Cases

Employee Response Analysis

Organizations can review how employees responded to specific survey questions.

Examples:

  • Engagement feedback

  • Satisfaction ratings

Performance Comparison

Survey responses can be compared alongside performance-related data.

Examples:

  • Comparing engagement scores against performance review outcomes

Adding a Survey Data Element

To add a survey-based data element:

  1. Select Add More Data Elements

  2. Choose Survey as the data element type

  3. Select the desired survey

  4. Choose the survey schedule or survey instance

  5. Select the survey question to include

  6. Click Add Element

Survey Configuration Options

When configuring a survey data element, users can define:

  • Element Name

    • Custom name displayed within the report

  • Description

    • Optional context or explanation for the data element

  • Survey Selection

    • The survey containing the desired question

  • Survey Schedule

    • Specific survey occurrence or date range

  • Survey Question

    • The question whose responses should be included in reporting

Survey data elements can be used to:

  • Compare survey responses against performance review scores

  • Analyze employee engagement trends

  • Review response patterns across teams or departments
