Tasks: Understanding your Boards

My Dashboard, Shared Boards, and Team Boards explained.

Tasks organizes work into separate boards rather than one

single list. This article explains the three kinds of boards

you'll see and how they differ.

My Dashboard

Your own personal board, created automatically the first time you

open Tasks — you don't need to set anything up. Only you

can see it by default. Use it for tasks that are just yours to

track.

Shared Boards

Boards created for group or team work, where multiple people can

see and add tasks. You'll see any shared board you've been added

to listed in your Personal view alongside My Dashboard. Shared

boards can be scoped to specific people, departments, positions,

locations, or teams — or opened up to everyone in the company.

Creating a new shared board and managing who's on it requires

additional access.

Team Boards

If you're a people manager, switching to the Team view shows your

direct reports' personal boards, so you can see what your team is

working on.

Switching between boards

1. Open Tasks from your navigation menu.

2. Use the Personal / Team toggle to switch between your own

boards (My Dashboard + Shared Boards) and, if you manage

people, your team's boards.

3. Select a board from the sidebar list to open it.
