This is useful for troubleshooting, validating permissions, testing workflows, or assisting employees with issues.
By default, all System Administrators can impersonate other employees. Other users can be granted this ability through an access group.
Required Permission
To impersonate another employee, a user must have the following permission enabled in one of their access groups:
Modify Other Employees' Info
Users with this permission can impersonate other employees from the Employees section.
Note: System Administrators have this permission by default.
This can be toggled on by editing an access group and enabling this permission under System Management > Employees
Impersonate an Employee
Log in with an account that has permission to impersonate other employees.
Navigate to System Management.
Select Employees.
Search for the employee you want to impersonate.
Scroll to the far right of the employee list.
Click the Person (Impersonate) icon next to the employee.
You will immediately be logged in as the selected employee and can navigate the platform as if you were that user.
End an Impersonation Session
When you have finished:
Exit the impersonation session log out option.
You can re login to your own to your own user account if you need to.
