Goals: Creating Department Goals

Steps to Create Department Goals

Login to your Paychex Flex® Engage account.

Click on Goals on the left-hand menu.
The Goals page will display Individual, Team, Department, and Company Goals.

To add a Department Goal, click on the Department Goals tab at the top of your screen.
Note: These steps are identical for creating any type of goal within the Paychex Flex® Engage platform.

Click on the Add Department Goal button to the right of your screen.

Complete the following fields to create your Department Goal.

  1. Enter Goal Title - this is a short summary of the goal.

  2. Goal Alignment - option to align to another Goal (can only align to Company Goal)

  3. Set Weight - Option to set a weight to the goal on a scale from 1 to 10.
    Here you will decide how this goal will be weighed against your other goals.

  4. Select a Due Date

    Select from: This Month, This Quarter, This Year, or Custom Date

  5. Progress Calculation - Choose between Automatic or Manual

  6. Description of the Goal - Optional

  7. Select the Department

  8. Select the Owner - this option will default to the user but can be changed as a manager.

Save each Goal by clicking the Save Button at the bottom of the window.
